Regina Berner (Trossingen/South Germany) 

first completed her studies in church music/conducting (Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen). Masterclasses conducting with Helmuth Rilling (Internationale Bachakademie) and Sergiu Celibidache. Singing education with Prof. Herrad Hornung-Wehrung.

Studies of singing and as a stage singer with Prof. Ingeborg Möller (Musikhochschule Freiburg i. Br.), in Vienna (Prof. Georgia Michaelides) and in London (Prof. Laura Sarti and Prof. Paul Hamburger, both Guildhall). Masterclasses singing and further studies with Luisa Bosabalian (Munich), Margret Price (Munich), Marga Schiml (Karlsruhe), Nina Walcker (London), Esther Salaman (London), Noëlle Barker (London), Mary Hammond (Schottland, Musical), Patricia MacMahon (Schottland) und Markus Goritzki (Freiburg i. Br.).

Successful career on stage and in concert in Mainland Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia. She excelled in International Masterclasses and Competitions, i.e. in 1997 Fellowship of the Evans-Foundation, 1998 Fellowship of the Internationale-Richard-Wagner-Stiftung Bayreuth.

As an opera singer she sings as a soprano lirico spinto the belcanto-operas of the italian and french Verismo:  debut 1995 as Mimi (Puccini, La Bohème) in the Scottish International Festival, 1996 Manon (Massenet, Manon), 1997 Wally (Catalani, La Wally), 1998 Amelia (Verdi, Un ballo in Maschera) and Manon (Puccini, Manon Lescaut).

In 1999 Regina Berner expand her repertoire with some mezzo-roles:  Dalila (Saint Saëns, Samson et Dalila), Charlotte (Werther, Massenet), Octavian (Rosenkavalier, Strauss), Principessa (Adriana Lecouvreur, Francesco Cilea) and Carmen (Carmen, Bizet).

She places further emphasis on Kunstlieder of Richard Strauss, Richard Wagner and Alban Berg as well as on french songs from von Claude Debussy, Hector Berlioz, Maurice Ravel and russian songs from Tshaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninov and Rimskij-Korssakov.

Several CD recordings (cf. CDs/News), at last 2010 the CD 'Opera 1' - study recording with sinfonie orchestra recorded by Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg (f.e. Bohème, Adriana Lecouvreur, Otello, Nozze di Figaro). 

In Oratory she is singing the romantic repertoire: Requiem - Mozart, Requiem and Stabat Mater - Antonín Dvořák, Ein deutsches Requiem - Johannes Brahms, Requiem - Giuseppe Verdi, Petite Messe Solennelle - Gioacchino Rossini.
